In 2026, we evolved from startup accelerator to AI-native company builder, giving founders startup-trained AI agents, personalized weekly sprints, and access to early investment at global scale. The Opportunity

There are few better vantage points on the entire global startup ecosystem than the Founder Institute, and that ecosystem is about to grow exponentially. We already work with institutional partners spanning corporations, governments, universities, and platforms, and demand to reach founders at global scale has never been higher. As a Venture Associate, you will own the alumni experience, identifying high-potential alumni and supporting them as they scale their ventures. You will manage the portfolio while collaborating with partners and investment stakeholders to drive success. This role is for someone who wants to help the founders who will change the next decade grow exponentially, and is a good fit for candidates who are interested in eventually running their own VC fund.

About the Role

You will own the full alumni experience from identifying high-potential founders during the program to introducing them to the partners and investors that will help with scale. You will work closely with our leadership, marketing, and operations teams, as well as Local Leaders running chapters around the world. This is a 100% remote, full-time role with core hours of 7 AM to Noon Pacific Time for team overlap and live events.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage with high-potential alumni to enhance their growth journey.
• Support alumni by providing resources, insights, and connections.
• Manage various portfolios and fund vehicles of alumni companies, tracking their progress, performance, and creating investor updates.
• Collaborate with partners and investment stakeholders to align resources and opportunities.
• Analyze data to inform strategic decisions and improve alumni support.

Requirements

Required:

• Availability during core hours of 7 AM to Noon Pacific Time.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with business-level fluency in English.

• Internet and computer savvy, genuinely comfortable using AI tools in daily work.

• Proven experience in portfolio management or similar roles.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.

• Passion for supporting entrepreneurs and driving growth.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of experience at an accelerator or venture fund
• Knowledge of startup accelerators and the startup or venture capital world.
• Experience with Google Suite, online CRM tools, and AI tools.
