Zagreb Founder Institute grad, Festomat, is changing the way Croatians experience events. The startup is transforming the traditional perception of music festivals into interactive and entertaining experience using NFC tickets, wristbands and smartphones. After launching in Zagreb in March of 2013, Festomat has gained some serious traction and is likely on its way to dominating the local ticketing market.
With such rapid (and impressive) growth, Festomat’s success hasn’t gone unnoticed. The startup has been described as "Silicon Valley - worthy", and has had numerous features in Business.hr, Dnevnik.hr, and many other prominent Croatian media channels. Most recently, netokracija announced Festomat as the winner of the Belgrade Venture Forum Startup Competition. It’s reported they were a "wild card" pick by StartLabs incubator in Belgrade, Serbia.
