The company has established healthier lifestyles for students by promoting good nutricious eating habits among kids. This is in line with West Spring’s mission of adopting interdisciplinary learning and teaching approaches, including making use of technology. Another benefit Whizmeal has brought to the school was ensuring that MOE’s subsidies for children from low-income families is spent wisely. By substituting cash vouchers with Whizmeal’s online platform, the school ensures that the subsidies are spent on healthy meals rather than snacks.
As a next step, Whizmeal plans to take their online platform out of Singapore and introduce the program to 100 schools regionally and internationally in the coming year.
