It has now been three years since we launched our first chapter in India (Bangalore Summer 2013), and we have made a lot of progress.
For example - did you know that with the recent launch of the Mumbai Founder Institute, we are now operating in five cities across India? We are getting great early results from new Exploratory Chapters in Visakhapatnam and Jaipur as well, so we will likely be in seven cities across India shortly!

Indian Founders Among the Hardest Working Globally
Over 1000 entrepreneurs in India have taken our social science 'Predictive Admissions Test', and the results are very interesting when compared globally. For example, Indian entrepreneurs are the friendliest entrepreneurs in the world, and are also among the hardest working. These findings, and more, were published in both the print and online versions of The Economic Times of India last month.
India Founder Institute Graduates in the News
- Energyly (Bangalore FI Graduate), a company that produces software and hardware for managing home energy consumption, secured seed funding from Keiretsu Forum, and was featured in the Times of India in an article titled"Powering Energy Saving for Businesses and Homes"
- PolarBear International (Hyderabad FI Graduate), a company that manufactures responsibly made, biodegradable products for retailers worldwide, has closed $1MM in funding and is growing very quickly.
- Watsan Envirotech Private Limited (Chennai FI Graduate), which creates electricity-free water filters using a new nano-clay particle filtration technique, was recognized by top scientists in India. The company has produced over 90,000 personal filters to date.
- Yo 2 Yoga (Bangalore FI Graduate), a 1-on-1 online learning platform for teaching and learning Yoga, was accepted into the Excubator.
- The Graduation of the first ever New Delhi Founder Institute semester is covered in multiple major publications. The program graduated six promising new companies.
- The Graduation of the first ever Chennai Founder Institute was featured in both The Hindu and Indian Express TV.
