The Founder Institute (, the world's largest pre-seed accelerator, announced today that it is re-launching its signature program in Denver.

In an effort to ensure the health and safety of the program's mentors, partners, and participants, this Founder Institute cohort will be held completely online, allowing anyone across Colorado to build a business alongside some of the region’s top entrepreneurs and investors from the comfort of home.

Any aspiring entrepreneur or team interested in building a technology business is invited to apply to the Colorado Virtual 2020 Founder Institute at, or attend a free online startup event at

Since first launching in Denver in 2010, the Founder Institute has helped build 81 promising technology companies in the region, like Kindara (acquired 2018), Cipherpoint (acquired 2017), Atomos (, BlogMutt (, Cataworx (, Spark Mindset ( Hauler (, and many more. In total, the Founder Institute has helped build over 4,500 technology companies across 75 countries, with program Alumni having raised nearly $1 billion in funding.

The Colorado Chapter will be led by local startup leaders Alex Cooper (Founder, Executive Director, The IronCEO) and Diane Bailey (Founder, RipTide), with additional support by Jonathan Greechan (Co-Founder of the Founder Institute, and Colorado native).

“This is the best time in history to build a digital business,” says Jonathan Greechan, Co-Founder of the Founder Institute. “When customer needs change quickly, as they are now, entrepreneurs are uniquely equipped to move fast and build new solutions. This is why many of the companies that defined the last decade in startups, such as Airbnb, Uber, Cloudflare, Udemy, Square, and Venmo, were formed during the last economic downturn. The companies being formed and getting their initial traction now will be the ones that define the 2020s in tech.”

Many of the region’s top startup investors, founders, and executives have expressed interest in mentoring the program, including leaders from companies like;

  • LendIt
  • FullContact
  • Swiftpage
  • Intelivideo
  • P2Binvestor
  • Ibotta
  • Rentbits
  • JobScore
  • PlaceIQ
  • PaySimple
  • Threadless
  • SendGrid
  • Cloud Elements
