The New York Founder Institute is among the most preeminent FI program chapters globally, having now inaugurated 200 portfolio companies from across eighteen New York cohorts to date that have collectively raised more than $49M in startup funding.

With a robust New York mentor network and core program headed by local Director Kevin Siskar, the Founder Institute New York is currently open and accepting applications for the Summer 2019 program cohort. Final deadline to apply is June 2nd!

Easy Aerial

Ivan Stamatovski is the Founder & CTO of Easy Aerial Inc, an FI New York portfolio company that has successfully raised $1.6M in funding to date. 

Today, Easy Aerial includes a record-breaking lineup of patented drones, some of which are even being eyed for applications by the US government. Stamatovski came to the United States over a decade ago with a dream to innovate in building flying robots that could better the world. With his background in industrial design and digital marketing, he has been able to bring his vision to life. 


SeatAssignMate

Li Shi is the Co-Founder of SeatAssignMate, an FI New York portfolio company that has built an interactive email tool for distributing real-time perishable inventories, allowing passengers to assign or upgrade their seats, check-in to their flights, and purchase airline product and service offerings, all from directly within their email inbox. 

Backed by industry investors including JetBlue Technology Ventures and EL AL Israel Airlines, SeatAssignmate was voted by over 200 airlines as the “Best Ancillary Upsell Solution” at the IATA (International Air Transport Association) World Passenger Symposium. SeatAssignMate was selected to participate in another round of fundraising through Seedinvest, an SEC-approved crowdfunding platform that accepts just 2% of the companies that apply. So far, SeatAssignMate has already raised more than $500k via Seedinvest. 


DADA.nyc

Beatriz Ramos is the Co-Founder of DADA.nyc, an FI New York portfolio company that has created a visual social network for artists. The company uses blockchain technologies to attribute credit to collaborative digital creators, and to assign true ownership to the buyers of digital works that are permanently embedded in the blockchain, where the original art can no longer be modified, and where pieces can be purchased securely.


Serene Offices

Thomas Vega is the Founder & CEO of Serene Offices, an FI New York portfolio company removing the pain points for therapists and clinicians in search of the ideal non-corporate office space.

Serene Offices is a marketplace platform designed to connect commercial property landlords with clinicians looking for specific types of office space, while at the same time helping those clinicians to better market their own services. Serene Offices offers more than just space: locations are with complete soundproofing and other details designed from the ground up for their clients. For landlords, Serene Offices also offers marketing and non-exclusive office management services. Together, the complete marketplace of services add up to a major a win-win: helping landlords fill their office space vacancies, and helping clinicians find spaces ideally suited to their needs. 


Craft and Savor

Vicente DyReyes is the Founder & CEO of Craft and Savor, an FI New York portfolio company reinventing the snack food industry with a full suite of wellness food options. The startup is muscling out vending machines and junk food delivery with healthy and nutritious snackable offerings, delivered by hand to customers all throughout NYC. The company has successfully raised seed funding and is growing its distribution network at an impressive clip.
