The Founder Institute, the world's premier idea-stage accelerator and startup launch program, has helped more than 100 new technology companies launch in our New York City chapter in just over 5 years. Since its launch in 2009, FI has contributed greatly to the local startup ecosystem while providing mentorship from some of the top entrepreneurs in the technology industry.
Applications are currently open for the Spring 2016 semester of the New York Founder Institute.

DADA, and Founder Beatriz Helena Ramos DADA is a community of artists, where anyone can make a drawing and share it with anyone in the world, creating a spontaneous conversation. Since launching, they’ve been featured on Product Hunt, Fast Company, and more. |
Easy Aerial, and Founder Ivan Stamatovski Easy Aerial offers turn-key solutions for real-time aerial data capture and processing using modular, autonomous robots. The company completed a successful Kickstarter campaign to start production, and has been featured in AlleyWatch. |
EnerKnol, and Founder Angelique Mercurio EnerKnol provides U.S. energy policy research and data services to support businesses make investment decisions across the $1.2 trillion energy and commodities market. The company received an undisclosed seed round in November 2014. |
InterConnecta, and Founders Luis Gonzalez & Alin Suarez InterConnecta is a platform that provides IT product and services organizations with a way to calculate costs, plan, contract freelance sales and marketing professionals in real time. The company also has the distinction of joining the first cohort of the LI Tech COMETS accelerator program, dedicated to nurturing local early-stage companies. |
Kindara, and Founders William Sacks & Katherine Bicknell Kindara is a fertility tracker app that has already provided thousands of women with the resources to confidently navigate their personal reproductive needs. Last November, Kindara raised $5M in funding from numerous investors. |
Mise en Place, and Founder Vicente DyReyes Mise en Place (mepNYC) provides fully prepped recipes, with same-day delivery, to help urban millennials and parents get access to high-quality, yet convenient meal options. They were recently covered in the Village Voice, and are growing quickly. |
Pathgather, and Founder Eric Duffy Pathgather is a marketplace for online education that helps you discover and choose the right online courses for you. The company raised an impressive $1.5M in 2014, and is growing at a very quick rate. |
