The Founder Institute, the World's Largest Entrepreneur Training and Startup Launch Program, is proud to announce the recent graduation of the Portugal 2025 semester.
The Portugal 2025 semester, which began on out 14, 2025 and ended on jan 28, 2026, began with over 107 applicants and 26 enrolled Founders. After an intensive, four month program of expert training sessions, challenging company building assignments, and constant evaluation and feedback from experienced entrepreneur mentors, 9 meaningful and enduring companies were able to make it through the program to Graduation. With plans to run two semesters annually in Cascais, and an expansion scheduled for 2015 to the city of Porto, the program is set to launch over 40 tech companies per year in Portugal.
The Portugal 2025 Graduates now have a company, business idea, product plan, and path to growth fully validated by experienced startup founders. In addition, the Graduates are part of the pretigious Shared Liquidity Pool, and gain access to the Founder Institute's Global Network of over 7,500 companies and 35,000 mentors spanning over 200 and six continents.
This semester would not have been possible without help, because it truly takes a city to raise a startup. We would first like to thank the Local Director of the Lisbon Founder Institute: Carlos DaSilva, a successful entrepreneur who has taught at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
The Lisbon area startup ecosystem is positioning itself firmly on the European and global map. The Founder Institute is the logical evolution after the success of start-up incubators such as DNA Cascais and Start-up Lisbon.
