Mohammad Mansoor, a Graduate of the Islamabad Founder Institute, has founded a new tech startup Touch'd with an innovative application that will forever change the way that people keep in touch with one another. The app has finally launched officially after more than three years of research and one year of extensive beta testing. It is compatible with iOS and Android operating systems. The Touch'd team promises that no other contact manager available can even come close to what Touch'd is capable of. Let's explore this exciting new application and see just how it can change the way we keep in touch with our contacts.
The simplest explanation of what Touch'd is, for those that are familiar with CRM business software, is a CRM for your personal life. The end goal is to ensure that the relationships in your life do not decay over time and that your close friends do not end up becoming strangers in your life.
How do they do this? You probably have a lot of contacts in your phone. First, you must start out by swiping through your contacts, in a fashion similar to the application called Tinder, swipe right to save a contact as a favorite and swipe left to move on and skip to the next contact. After doing this with your contacts you choose follow-up reminder settings for the people you favorited. Next, you must give the application access to your text, call, e-mail, WhatsApp, and other social media sites and application data if you want those tracked as well. Do not be alarmed. The information never leaves your device. Touch'd does not save any data, and none of the data used goes to their servers. Once, you do that all of your work is done and Touch'd takes over from here.
From day one of using the application, Touch'd will analyze the data you provide and determine how healthy your relationships with your favorited contacts are as a result of the data. Once it is up and running, Touch'd will always display the most recent interaction and method of doing so with your contacts. However, these are just the simple features that allow you to see how your relationships are. Touch'd really starts to outdo the competition when it informs you that you haven't interacted with a contact in too long, or if it is a particularly good time to get in touch with a contact, for example if they are in town for the weekend.
If that weren't enough, Touch'd also picks up the location data of your favorites and allows you to quickly wish them greetings and well wishes for whatever holiday or occasion may be occurring in their locality. The application also allows you to compose messages to multiple contacts while also making sure that each message is individualized so that the person receiving the text doesn't feel like they have just been mass texted. These features are serious time savers and their value should not be underestimated.
The application is well designed and works like a charm. It can be used for free, with up to 25 contacts favorited, however some of the more impressive features require a premium subscription starting at 2.99 a month. A feature that comes with premium service is the ability to create notes for contacts that pop up whenever an interaction arises. These notes could be reminders of previous conversation topics, or a reminder to do a task etc, and can end up saving you a lot of awkward silences and apologies. All in all Touch'd with its remarkable features and interface has the potential to change the landscape of human interaction.
