In episode three of our pilot season weekly video series Global Startup Report, we streamed in live from SXSW with our partners at Dell for Startups to preview the action taking place on the Dell Experience stage, where 8 Founder Institute Texas portfolio alumni pitched live to compete for $25,000 in prizes provided by Dell.

While all the pitches were impressive, here are the startups who took home the prize money:

  • 1st Place ($15k) - Intuily, Founder Catherine Webb (FI Austin)

  • 2nd Place ($10k) - Cinevva, Founder Mariana Muntean (FI Houston)

Intuily connects users with health and wellness practitioners who are the perfect match for your personality and style.

Cinevva is a new way for artists, designers, and illustrators to collaboratively create art and animations for visual stories, puzzle platforms, and adventure games.

Watch the founders live reactions from the Dell for Startups SXSW awards ceremony (with nice big checks!):

Global Startup Report host Martín Martinez interviewed out partners at Dell for Startups, Aaron Welker and Lucas Chaya Del Pino, where they shared more details about what Dell was doing at SXSW specifically and what Dell For Startups is all about—see the full interview below:

You can watch the full winning pitches from Intuily founder Catherine Webb (FI Austin), Cinevva founder Mariana Muntean (FI Houston), and other finalists here:
