Itembase, a graduate of the Berlin Founder Institute and winner of the 10th Founder Showcase, was recently featured as the Venture Village Startup of the Week. In the interview with journalist Michelle Kuepper, the Berlin-based startup reveals their plans to conquer the US Market (Viking Style), grow their team, and a little bit about their business model.

The three co-founders Ramo Karahasan, Stefan Jørgensen and Per Meurling developed Itembase to help shoppers stay organized and keep a simple inventory of their belongings. After winning the 10th Founder Showcase Pitch Competition in early 2012, Itembase has since gained traction and expanded to Silicon Valley where they continue to develop the product.

Helping fuel Itembase’s funding and growth was their winning pitch at the 10th Founder Showcase Pitch Competition, which you can watch in full below. The next Founder Showcase will be taking place on March 27th, and is currently accepting applications for the Pitch Competition until Sunday, February 17th. Thus far, participants of the competition have raised over $70 million in funding. If you or someone you know is looking to raise a seed round, submit your pitch today
