The South Africa Founder Institute, the local chapter of the world's largest pre-seed startup accelerator, is proud to announce the newest Alumni from the South Africa program.

After meticulous selection process and intense four months of aggressive business-building sprints, constant evaluation, and feedback from investors and mentors, just 14 companies were able to make it through. 

Each of these Founders have demonstrated a high level of perseverance and creativity, and their businesses have been thoroughly vetted and supported by a panel of South Africa 's top startup experts and investors.  

And now, without further ado, we present the Alumni of the South Africa program: 

  • Sagacious Jones - agacious Jones offers automated underwriting for commercial insurers through mobile-based 3D image scanning, image recognition, and risk analysis to provide individualized pricing based on unique customer risk profiles.
  • Heritage unlocked - Developing a Nigerian centric history SaaS e-learning platform to help Private Primary Schools Educators teach Nigerian heritage through animations quiz and Gamification.
  • Reign Tree Pty Ltd - Empowers property investors, career professionals – primarily in the diaspora – to create wealth across Africa, with confidence and minimal friction by giving them preferential access to new off market quality developments.
  • LabAI - An Ai/Robotics system to help health institutions improve their triage systems using Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.
  • SkillTise - A web and mobile application that serves as a marketplace connecting skill-based business to customers, so that these businesses can grow their customer bases, increase revenue and enhance economic opportunity.
  • FlowPay - A revolutionary new solution for working capital finance, using digital tokens.
  • ECORGANIC CO LTD - Making organic vegetables accessible and affordable across africa, sustainably.
  • Come We Go - Unites people through their shared love of reading, creating online book clubs facilitated by hosts, by blending digital interactions with face-to-face experiences.
  • Legal-Chain Pty - Empowers small and medium businesses to accurately forecast labor dispute compliance and reduce costs using case data analytics and machine learning. 
  • Fermentrix - A circular economy waste-tech company which repurposes and transforms production waste into new products by converting spent grains from breweries into sustainable packaging solutions.
  • THEMBANE CHEMICALS - Transforms STEM learning by providing practical chemistry kits and digital tools, ensuring a high-quality and robust pipeline of African STEM graduates entering the workforce.
  • Koloso Limited - Offers high-frequency, low-impact digital learning assessments, providing schools with the individual and aggregate data needed to maximize each child's potential.
  • TransitX - Building logistics software that ensures that supply chain companies and logistics professionals, get access to transport providers and warehouse-space in real-time.
  • FINTURA - An online subscription software for finance management, bringing bookkeeping, taxation, statutory, human resources, payroll and practice management under one roof.

After Graduation, the new South Africa Founder Institute Portfolio Companies now have a fast-growing company that has been fully validated by experienced startup founders, with access to the Founder Institute's global network and post-graduate support programs to continue building their business. 

Leaders of the world’s fastest-growing startups have used the Founder Institute to raise funding, building a co-founding team, get into seed-accelerators, generate traction, recruit a team, build a product, transition from employee to entrepreneur, and more. Based in Silicon Valley and with chapters across 200+ cities and 100+ countries, the Founder Institute’s mission is to Globalize Silicon Valley and empower talented and motivated entrepreneurs to build companies that will create one million new jobs.
