The Lagos Founder Institute, the local chapter of the world's largest pre-seed startup accelerator, is proud to announce the newest Alumni from the Lagos Fall 2024 program.

After meticulous selection process and intense four months of aggressive business-building sprints, constant evaluation, and feedback from investors and mentors, just 14 companies were able to make it through. 

Each of these Founders have demonstrated a high level of perseverance and creativity, and their businesses have been thoroughly vetted and supported by a panel of Lagos's top startup experts and investors.  

And now, without further ado, we present the Alumni of the Lagos program: 

  • STARLEARN AI - An AI education web application that delivers personalized, industry-relevant courses to help learners acquire practical skills, bridging the gap between education and workforce demands for career and economic growth.
  • Oikus - A social-led property marketplace that helps first-time homebuyers and renters, both locally and abroad, navigate real estate securely through video-first listings, escrow-backed payments, and verified agents.
  • iCademics - An AI-powered platform that helps Nigerian tertiary students learn, collaborate, and manage their academic responsibilities more effectively for improved academic success.
  • DEZIGNTEES GLOBAL LTD - A customizable e-commerce platform that empowers creatives to monetize their artwork on merchandise effortlessly, handling everything from fabric sourcing and production to printing and delivery in-house.
  • Ibom Agro Allied Farms Limited - An agro-commodity export company adding value to West African cocoa through solar drying and traceability, reducing waste, ensuring export quality, and supporting smallholder farmers.
  • Buntu - A social commerce platform that helps small businesses list products, receive payments, and manage operations with automated order fulfillment.
  • UtARR -  A gamified platform that helps businesses turn customer interactions into rewarding experiences, boosting loyalty while driving social impact through incentives for positive community actions.
  • GeoView - Empowering the Cameroon diaspora to securely invest in property with real-time updates, legal insights, and protection against land disputes for confident, stress-free asset management from afar.
  • zeego company ltd - A Cameroonian-owned transportation platform offering safe, affordable, and eco-friendly ride services, while creating jobs, supporting local communities, and transforming urban mobility with innovative, customer-centric solutions.
  • SWIMS - A tech-driven platform improving waste collection in Sub-Saharan Africa by connecting homes with verified waste agents and using AI-powered tools to optimize operations, reduce landfills, and create over a million jobs for the rural population.
  • Saby - A localized conversational AI assistant designed for young urban professionals in African cities, providing culturally aware, language-savvy support for everyday tasks.
  • Audience Network - An Out-of-Home billboard aggregator that helps businesses launch affordable outdoor campaigns in 72 hours, while creating jobs, supporting SMEs, and enabling city revenue growth through a data-driven, AI-powered platform.
  • Marché Centrale -  A social commerce platform connecting consumers with market vendors across Cameroon and Africa, enabling 24/7 online shopping, boosting vendor income, and supporting youth employment through a vibrant digital marketplace.
  • PeniWise - A platform that helps African businesses raise capital through direct public offerings while giving everyday Africans access to diversified investment opportunities.

The Lagos Fall 2024 program would not have been possible without help, because it truly takes a city to raise a startup.

In the Founder Institute's pre-seed accelerator program, early-stage entrepreneurs and teams build their business alongside a critical support network of local startup experts that share equity in their success, and through a structured and challenging business-building process that has helped alumni raise over $1.85BN. 

After Graduation, the new Lagos Founder Institute Portfolio Companies now have a fast-growing company that has been fully validated by experienced startup founders, with access to the Founder Institute's global network and post-graduate support programs to continue building their business. 

Leaders of the world’s fastest-growing startups have used the Founder Institute to raise funding, building a co-founding team, get into seed-accelerators, generate traction, recruit a team, build a product, transition from employee to entrepreneur, and more. Based in Silicon Valley and with chapters across 200+ cities and 100+ countries, the Founder Institute’s mission is to Globalize Silicon Valley and empower talented and motivated entrepreneurs to build companies that will create one million new jobs.
