Earlier today the Founder Institute was featured in VentureBeat to announce the graduation of our 650th startup! According to Adeo Ressi, “With this milestone and projections that we will break 700 companies by year’s end, we are clearly demonstrating that successful entrepreneurs, cut from the cloth of Silicon Valley, can be incubated anywhere”.
A primary tenet of the Founder Institute “is to demonstrate that the characteristics synonymous with Silicon Valley — entrepreneurship and innovation — are not based upon geography, but on people; and that Silicon Valley model can be successfully deployed globally.” With chapters operating in 32 cities across 19 countries, Founder Institute whole-heartedly embodies this notion, and continues to widen the frontier for technology startups and entrepreneurs around the world.
Just this week we launched our first chapter in Rome and have plans to establish several more throughout the coming months, so chances are, if we’re not already operating in a city near you, we will be in the near future.
Final thoughts: after having been in operation for a mere three years, launching 650 companies is a milestone that’s both tremendously exciting yet humbling. This feat would not have been possible without our stellar mentors, directors, and founders across the globe, so for that we thank you for your participation and relentless hard work.
Founder Institute is currently accepting applications for multiple cities across the US, Europe, and Mexico. If you or someone you know could benefit from expert training and feedback to launch a technology startup, then click here to apply today. The program is open to existing and prospective technology founders of all kinds - with or without an idea, young or old, and with a full-time job or unemployed.
