At Founder Institute, we take pride in celebrating the achievements of our graduates who are pushing the boundaries of innovation. Today, we are honored to highlight the launch of a groundbreaking product by TAGCarts®, a Founder Institute graduate, in partnership with Inpro, a global leader in interior protection. Together, they’ve introduced the TAG-X® Smart Rail, a wireless, contactless charging system that is set to revolutionize healthcare efficiency, mobility, and safety.
Revolutionizing Healthcare with TAG-X®
The TAG-X® Smart Rail is the product of a groundbreaking collaboration between TAGCarts®, a pioneer in medical carts, workstations, and mobile medical equipment (MME), and Inpro, a trusted leader in healthcare facility solutions. This new innovative product combines patented TAGCarts® technology with a durable Inpro wall guard, offering wireless charging for all medical carts and mobile medical equipment, regardless of battery size or chemistry type. By utilizing existing infrastructure in healthcare facilities, such as bed guards, handrails, and wall protection, the TAG-X® Smart Rail ensures a seamless addition to any environment.
On partnering with Inpro, Taggart Neal, CEO and Founder of TAGCarts®, expressed his pride, saying:
I was tired of seeing nurses and healthcare professionals struggle with problems that seemed to be ignored. Partnering with Inpro was a natural choice given their reputation and expertise in the healthcare industry. Our collaboration aims to tackle these challenges head-on and make a significant impact on the lives of healthcare workers and their patients.
Key Benefits of the New Product
The TAG-X® Smart Rail isn’t just a technological breakthrough—it’s a critical tool for improving healthcare operations. Here’s what makes it stand out:

Enhanced Efficiency: Streamlines medical workflows, allowing healthcare staff to focus on patient care without interruption.
-
Optimized Battery Health: Extends the lifespan and reliability of mobile medical equipment with efficient, wireless charging.
-
Increased Safety: Eliminates dangerous cords, reducing trip hazards and accidents within healthcare environments.
-

-
Touch-Free Charging: Provides contactless charging for all types of medical carts and equipment.
Successful Pilot and Future Prospects
Following a successful test pilot in New Mexico in 2023, which demonstrated significant improvements in infection prevention by reducing touchpoints, the TAG-X® Smart Rail is already gaining traction among hospitals. TAGCarts® and Inpro are expanding test pilots in collaboration with WiBotic and Capsa Healthcare, and the TAG-X® will officially hit the market on August 26, 2024.
