500 Startups, a seed-stage investment firm and accelerator, has recently announced Whale Path as one of the 28 companies that will participate in their eighth 500 Startups Accelerator class.

The story was covered by TechCrunch in article by Ryan Lawler, titled 500 Startups Adds Two New Venture Partners And Announces Its Eighth Accelerator Class.

The 28 companies, chosen out of thousands that applied, will be the first class to operate out of 500 Startups' new San Francisco office in the city's SOMA district, where they will have access to mentors, events, and programs designed to help them refine their products and grow their businesses.

Whale Path, a research platform where professionals can order business research from qualified and reputable top-tier students, was founded in 2012 by Artem Gassan and Colin Gu, Graduates of the Silicon Valley Founder Institute.

Dedicated to connecting academic and professional communities by addressing the needs of both, Whale Path works with a team of advisors that include representatives from top universities such as Stanford and UC Berkeley, as well as leading companies such as Credit Suisse and Fidelity Investments. With their current model, professionals can acquire customized quality research at a reduced cost while students can earn money, gain work experience, and connect with potential employers.
