Skimble experienced some recent successes which were highlighted by Aditi Pai in a MobiHealthNews article titled Workout app maker Skimble hits 14M downloads, partners with Samsung.

Skimble and its co-founders Gabriel Vanrenen and Maria Ly are Graduates of the Bay Area Founder Institute.

Based out of San Francisco, Skimble develops various themed workout training apps, including Coco's Workout World, Fitness Flow, and the GPS Sports Tracker, with each featuring unique routines. Skimble’s flagship app, Workout Trainer, consists of a veritable library of workouts that users can view as videos, photo instructions, and step-by-step audio guides. In addition to providing such workout routines as weight lifting, yoga, and running, the Workout Trainer also allows users to play music right from the app during their workouts and share their results on social media.

In 2012, Skimble reached an impressive 2 million downloads. Refusing to settle on past achievements, Skimble just hit a whopping 14 million downloads, and have followed up on their recent success by partnering with Samsung, in which Skimble’s Workout Trainer will be highlighted on all new Samsung Galaxy S5 and Tab S devices. The featured Samsung devices will offer users a six-month membership to Workout Trainer’s premium membership, which includes extra workout videos and training plans.
