FI Grad LawCanvas has been making waves in the Singapore tech scene. In the recent article, “LawCanvas wants to be the legal eagle for Singaporean startups”, Steven Millward for Tech in Asia reports on the fast-growing company and its plans for the future.
LawCanvas and its Founder Daniel Leong are Graduates of the Singapore Founder Institute.
LawCanvas was created to help small businesses and tech startups draft legal documents, ask legal questions, and connect them with lawyers who specialize in their particular issues. Meant to supplement, not supplant professionals in the legal industry, LawCanvas provides tools that save on time and hassle for businesses just starting up.
With plans of expanding beyond Singapore to nearby Malaysia soon, LawCanvas sees their business model as very scalable in the long run. Even though the content for each country may be different according to different legal systems, their software remains unchanged, making it possible to branch out to new countries and locations.
It’s not only Leong who sees LawCanvas’s services useful enough to survive the Asian market, LawCanvas was recently named one of nine finalists in the Startup Asia Arena pitch contest.
