FI Caracas' ENVERSE was selected to participate in the "Metaverse Communities Challenge", a joint initiative by Meta and IDB Lab, the innovation lab of the Inter-American Development Bank (“IDB”), that targets communities that are using the metaverse to achieve positive social or economic impact in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The challenge aims to support communities that are currently leveraging or seeking to leverage the augmented and immersive capacity of the metaverse to foster greater connections with their network of members. Support will be provided directly to founders or leaders of the selected communities to continue developing and growing their communities in the metaverse and further their mission.
ENVERSE is a proptech startup that develops hyper-realistic metaverses designed by the best architects in the world. Part of the mission of the company is leading the effort to build a digital community that seeks to set a benchmark of the design and planning of architecture in the metaverse to develop the worlds we will inhabit in 2030.
In a recent interview by Catalejo Virtual (available here, only in Spanish), Francisco Espinoza -ENVERSE founder and FI Caracas Alumni- said: We detected a big gap and that is that all the metaverses are being developed mainly from video game developers and gamers. Relevant people in the industry who can speak properly about urban planning have not been incorporated here and we are talking mainly about architects and builders. All of these have been, those who have already developed the real world are outside of these conversations, therefore, at ENVERSE we seek to lead the process of building a hyperrealistic metaverse, but hand in hand with large architecture offices that have good talk properly about how to develop these worlds.
Graduates of the Founder Institute are creating some of the world's fastest growing startups, having raised over $1.75BN in funding, and building products people love across over 200 cities worldwide.
