A lot of people build a startup without knowing why they want to start the company, and what they're passionate about. If you don't know what you're passionate about, you will give up too easily, and be too easily distracted” - Jeffrey Paine

Jeffrey Paine is the Founding Partner at Golden Gate Ventures, a USD10 million seed fund for Internet startups in Southeast Asia in the e-commerce, payments, consumer Internet, mobile, infrastructure and Software-as-a-Service verticals. He is also the director at the Singapore Founder Institute where he graduated over 100 founders since it’s inception, and he oversees the expansion of the Founder Institute in Southeast Asia.

In this interview below by Agenda Awani, Jeffrey speaks about what advice he often gives to startups in Asia, and what is fundamental to know before founders approach investors for funding.

Jeff will be speaking at an exclusive VIP Event for the Dhaka Founder Institute on Sunday, November 23rd. Learn more and RSVP here
