FI Pittsburgh AI Syndicate
The Founder Institute, the world’s premier pre-seed startup accelerator, is launching the first-ever “AI Founder Syndicate" as part of the Pittsburgh Winter 2019 program.
Designed in partnership with two of the world's most innovative AI and robotics companies, Philips and Bosch, the AI Founder Syndicate helps early-stage AI and robotics entrepreneurs build innovative businesses in the Pittsburgh Founder Institute through:
- Feedback and Mentorship from Over 20 top artificial intelligence experts
- The opportunity to work alongside top innovation leaders at Philips, Bosch
- A Local and Global Support Network of Entrepreneurs, Investors from firms like and Coal Hill Ventures, and Advisors
- Over $2M in Partner Deals and Resources
- Several "AI Syndicate Fellowships" Awarded to the Top Program Applicants, allowing them to participate for free ($699 USD value)
The goal of the program is to help launch more than 20 promising AI or robotics companies by 2019, and help further establish Pittsburgh as a center of excellence for AI/robotics innovation.

Who Should Apply?
The Founder Institute is the world’s premier pre-seed startup accelerator, with chapters across 200+ cities and alumni companies that have raised over $1.8BN in funding. Leaders of the world’s fastest-growing startups have used our program to transition from employee to entrepreneur, test their startup ideas, build a team, get their first customers, raise funding, building a co-founding team, and more.
The Pittsburgh Winter 2019 program begins in February 2019, and takes place weekly until May 2019. Any pre-seed entrepreneur interested in building an AI or robotics startup in Pittsburgh is encouraged to apply, including aspiring founders with a full-time job, solo founders, teams, and founders of established companies (pre-funding).
What to Expect?
To apply to the AI Founder Syndicate you must complete your application below.
After the short form, you will be invited to take our Entrepreneur DNA Assessment, which is our main criteria for evaluating applicants.
The Final Application Deadline is in January 2019, but Founders that apply before the Early Deadline (Nov 03, 2024) will be eligible for discounted pricing. AI Syndicate Fellowship recipients will be chosen from the top overall applicants to the program, and be notified via email within a few days of applying.
