Ever wondered what it takes to launch a technology startup in Sydney?
In this video from Brr Media, Sydney Founder Institute directors, Tom Frazier and Benjamin Chong, share the secret of how the world’s largest early-stage startup accelerator has helped local entrepreneurs launch meaningful and enduring companies in Sydney. Based out of Silicon Valley, the Founder Institute laid its roots in Australia in 2012, and has since launched over 20 businesses in Sydney alone.
By providing access to top mentors both in Australia and abroad, enrolled founders are taught to refine their ideas and articulate their business in a way that “even their grandmothers could understand”.
“We want founders to learn from experienced business people so they can have a much greater chance of success," says co-director, Benjamin Chong. “The purpose [of the Institute] is to take someone who has the passion and give them the tools to build a great company”.
“Our model is all about the person. Companies don’t join FI, people do”
