The Founder Showcase, hosted by TheFunded.com and the Founder Institute, is Silicon Valley's leading seed-stage startup event.
In our 14-event history, we've been truly honored by some of the names who have graced our stage, such as Elon Musk, David Sacks, and Phil Libin. Today, we are excited to annouce yet another luminary speaker for the next Founder Showcase, taking place on May 15th: Thomas Korte, Founder of AngelPad.
AngelPad is a startup accelerator based in San Francisco and New York, and even though it is a smaller program and is only a few years old, it was named by MIT’s 2014 Accelerator Research as the #3 U.S. Accelerator, and Forbes Magazine called AngelPad a “TOP 5 Global Accelerator” in 2012.
The reason for this is simple: results. AngelPad's exits include Mopub ($350m to Twitter), Adku (Groupon), and Astrid (Yahoo), among others. Their approach is also unique - AngelPad accepts a very small number of companies, and work intimately with these companies every day, leveraging few outside mentors.
AngelPad has become one of the most reliable hit machines in Silicon Valley... and it’s done it largely by operating as a kind of anti-Y Combinator" - StrictlyVC
Before starting AngelPad, Thomas worked at Google for 7 years, and was Google’s first International Product Manager. His other roles included European Search Agency Business Lead and Google Evangelist. He is the co-author of several patents related to improving efficiencies in search advertising and local search results.
Thomas will join Mitch Kapor and Mike Maples Jr. for the 15th Founder Showcase, taking place on May 15th in Silicon Valley.

Now in its 15th edition, the Founder Showcase is a bi-annual seed-startup event that gathers over 400 startup investors, founders, and press in Silicon Valley to hear from startup experts, and see promising seed-stage companies. In addition to getting the best speakers, we pride ourselves on showcasing the best early-stage companies before anyone else (pun intended). Past contestants have raised over $130 million, and we have showcased companies like Udemy, Relay Rides, Thumbtack, and Kaggle in their infancy. To see the list of all notable companies that have presented, see our Founder Showcase Hall of Fame here.
We look forward to hearing more from Scott on May 15th. Get your tickets today.
