The best Founder Institute Local Leaders (Directors) have a combination of the following characteristics:
- Entrepreneurial Experience - Local Leaders should have some level of entrepreneurial experience, defined as having founded or co-founded a tech company, as well as relatable experience to Founders that go through the program.
- Availability - Local Leaders should be available to attend the recruiting events that lead up to the semester, as well as the program sessions.
- Locality - Local Leaders should be well-connected within their local startup ecosystem.
- Ecosystem Involvement - Local Leaders should be involved in the ecosystem in at least one of these roles: a mentor in a startup organization, a senior member of a startup group, a guest speaker at industry events, or a host of startup-related events.
