Last week in Silicon Valley we hosted the 2011 Startup Mentor Awards, to celebrate the Founder Institute mentors who go above and beyond the call of duty to help our companies succeed. There were 11 total awards, and winning the Highest Overall Rating Award was Jim Franklin - CEO of SendGrid, and Co-Director of the Denver Founder Institute.
Applications to the Denver Founder Institute, and many other locations worldwide, are due this Sunday, May 6th. If you or somebody you know could use expert training and feedback to launch a technology company in 2012, then click here to apply today.
To honor Jim's award, below we've included a video and slidedeck from one of his Denver training sessions on Startup HR. In it, he describes the ideal roles that need to be filled in a startup, how to divide founder equity and options across your company, and how hiring and firing based on values is key.
Enjoy!
