On April 28th, 2021 the Founder Institute hosted the 20th Global Founder Showcase, and over 1600 entrepreneurs, investors, media, and tech execs registered to watch pitches from up-and-coming companies across the globe.
We were pleased to welcome Patrick Riley as the event's keynote speaker. Patrick Riley is the CEO of GAN (Global Accelerator Network) and Managing Director of GAN Ventures - watch his presentatation video below:
In addition to Patrick Riley's keynote, the event also featured pitches from promising pre-seed companies from across the globe. Previous presenters on this event have raised over $1.5 billion in funding, and include luminary companies like Udemy, Relay Rides, Thumbtack, Realty Mogul, Kaggle, and many more.
Nearly 150 startups from 19 countries applied to pitch in our April Showcase event, but after several rounds of intense evaluation and feedback, only 10 were chosen to present live. These companies are all showing promising early traction, and hail from 9 different cities, 7 countries, and 3 continents. You can see their pitch videos from the event below:

DotX, based in Jakarta, is a payroll solution so workers without a bank account can receive salaries and make banking transactions.
Valinor Earth
Valinor Earth, based in Bangalore, is an AgTech that uses Machine Learning with Satellite data to help farmers monitor their farms, track crop growth, and water optimization needs.

Prowess Project, based in Austin, is an integrated job, training and community platform that exists to help caregivers return to the workforce on their terms.
KnowRx
KnowRx, based in Austin, is a cloud-based digital healthcare platform that addresses various health encounters important to proper therapeutic care.
About GAN & featured keynote speaker Patrick Riley

Patrick Riley started his career at the American Red Cross where he oversaw the COO’s office as its Chief of Staff. Following his passion to support startup companies around the world, Patrick joined Techstars, a well known tech accelerator, and oversaw its growth which included the development of GAN. Outside of work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife and two girls, bike riding, traveling, and skiing around Colorado.
