On February 10th, 2021 the Founder Institute hosted the 19th Global Founder Showcase, and over 1800 entrepreneurs, investors, media, and executives registered to watch pitches from up-and-coming companies across the globe.
We were thrilled to welcome renowned angel investor Jason Calacanis as the Keynote Speaker for the event. Jason is an entrepreneur, author, and angel investor in 250+ startups (including 7 'unicorns'), and you can watch the video of his Fireside Chat with Founder Institute CEO Adeo Ressi below:
In addition to Jason's talk, the event also featured pitches from promising pre-seed companies from across the globe. Previous presenters on this event have raised over $1.5 billion in funding, and include luminary companies like Udemy, Relay Rides, Thumbtack, Realty Mogul, Kaggle, and many more.
Nearly 200 startups from 14 countries applied to pitch to our February Showcase, but after several rounds of evaluation and feedback only 10 were chosen to present on the live event. These companies are all showing promising early traction, and hail from 10 different cities, 6 countries, and 3 continents.
