On December 16th, 2020, the Founder Institute hosted the 18th Global Founder Showcase, the second-ever online Global Showcase event. Tim Chang, Partner at Mayfield Fund, joined us live as a featured keynote speaker. At the Mayfield Fund, Tim focuses especially on investments in Consumer Internet, Digital Media, eCommerce/Marketplaces, and Health/Wellness. Tim Chang has been twice named on the Midas List of top 100 VCs, and was previously a Partner at Norwest Venture Partners; and prior to joining Norwest, was a Principal at Gabriel Venture Partners, where he established and led their wireless practice. Before entering the venture capital industry, Tim was a Product Manager at Gateway, where he launched Enterprise products into the Japanese market, and began his career as a tri-lingual development engineer for General Motors, working across China, Korea, and Japan. - AI Retailer Systems (FI Zurich) is a B2B SaaS retail-tech startup that helps retailers to operate 24/7 convenience stores with a computer vision-based, hands-free checkout solution.
- Visualyst (FI Oslo) is a SaaS solution that helps the film and TV industry to perform video compliance reviews faster and more accurately than they do today.
