In September we partnered with Geekwire to help us find the best one sentence pitch in Seattle. Throughout the week long contest, we received over 40 pitches with over 200 comments, and after much deliberation, have finally selected a winner.

Meet Portals, a Seattle based startup that enables those with little to no programming experience to easily create HTML5 applications that act and feel like native apps for tablets and smartphones. Their goal is to create content from anywhere that works everywhere; “content with no boundaries” if you will. What does that mean exactly? Here is their winning one sentence pitch, which will hopefully give you the gist of what their platform is all about:

“Portals is an online HTML5 application and website builder that allows businesses and consumers with no programming experience to easily create an online presence that is automatically optimized for every device, including desktops, smartphones, and tablets”.

Their winning pitch earned them full tuition to the upcoming Autumn Seattle Founder Institute as well as an invitation to participate in Geekwire’s Elevator Pitch Meetup taking place later this month. We’re excited to have them join us this semester in Seattle and wish them the best of luck as they continue to build their platform.

To learn more about Portals be sure to check out their blog and read the full story on their winning pitch here
