Futurpreneur Canada, a long-time partner of ours, will be supporting our mission of globalizing Silicon Valley by fast-tracking applications submitted by graduates of our upcoming Montreal Fall/Winter Virtual 2020 semester for up to $20,000 in loan financing to help launch their businesses.

Accepting Founders across Canada: Founder Institute Montreal now recruits founders across Canada. The virtual program can easily on-board entrepreneurs based in all Canadian cities.

Futurpreneur Canada is the only national, non-profit organization that provides financing, mentoring, and support tools for aspiring business owners and startup founders aged 18-39.

Founder Institute Montreal is thrilled to have signed this partnership with Futurpreneur Canada, enabling us to extend the reach of our program and help more young people get the support they need in a fast and effective way."

All founders aged 18-39 who successfully complete the program are eligible for a Fast-Track loan of up to $20,000 from Futurpreneur Canada. Those founders who require more capital to start their business will have the option of applying for Futurpreneur’s regular Start-Up program, which provides up to $40,000 in additional loan financing (from Futurpreneur partner, the BDC) and the one-on-one advice of an expert mentor for up to two years.

Launched in 2014 by Sergio Escobar and LP Maurice, the Montreal Founder Institute has produced over 55 companies that have collectively raised $56+ million dollars in funding. Notable alumni of the Montreal program include FightCamp, Unito, Streamline Genomics, Jitbase, Allset, and many more. The 2020 Virtual program will count with the addition of Francois Poirier as Program Manager and co-Director. The Montreal program is supported by Fasken and Richter.
