The Amsterdam 2019 Founder Institute, the most recent local cohort of the world's largest pre-seed startup accelerator, heads into its January Graduation with 8 new technology companies.
Over 340 people applied to the program, and after an intense four months of aggressive business-building sprints and constant evaluation and feedback from investors and mentors, just 8 companies were able to make it through.
Each of these Founders have demonstrated a high level of perseverance and creativity, and their businesses have been thoroughly vetted and supported by a panel of Amsterdam's top startup experts and investors.
And now, without further ado, we present the upcoming graduates of the Amsterdam program:
- Euroglot Language Tools - having sold electronic dictionaries since 1990, Euroglot is building an online language resources marketplace focused on translation of entire meaning, not just words.
- Juul Koene Studio - developing a medical hardware product to help people take control of their health at home, before visiting the family doctor or primary care provider.
- Retaillery - a B2B marketplace for brands and retailers to connect and do their wholesale business online, making both wholesale buying and selling easier, more transparent, and more efficient.
- Scribe - digital writing tool for multilingual teams to create and edit documents together, writing in different languages while all collaborating on the same doc(s) through built-in translations and grammar tools to support several languages.
- Thrivest - helping young people on their journey towards financial maturity through a mobile application for saving and investing.
- Throwback Tales - immersive real-life game adventures for groups to experience together, creating sensational memories and stories to share.
- VAICE - seamlessly embedding voice A.I. into organizations' existing sales processes and applications, to help sales teams be more productive by wasting less time inputting notes into their CRM.
- vesTTree - an online investment platform offering low risk and short term real estate investment opportunities screened from across hundreds of crowdfunding websites and real estate funds worldwide.

In the Founder Institute's pre-seed accelerator program, early-stage entrepreneurs and teams build their business alongside a critical support network of local startup experts that share equity in their success, and through a structured and challenging business-building process that has helped alumni raise over $1.75BN.
After Graduation, the new Amsterdam Founder Institute Portfolio Companies now have a fast-growing company that has been fully validated by experienced startup founders, with access to the Founder Institute's global network and post-graduate support programs to continue building their business.
