Recently, the FI team, along with a handful of currently enrolled founders, directors, and mentors, made their way down to Los Angeles to tour SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies Corporation) - a privately owned space launch company led by Elon Musk (CEO, Tesla).

On the tour we learned not only a ton about space travel and exploration, but got to see rockets and spacecrafts being built right before our eyes - a fascinating experience to say the least! But that’s not all - the real icing on the cake came when Elon Musk addressed our group, enlightening us on SpaceX’s plans for the future, what it’s like to run two companies, and a few valuable tidbits on taking risks and entrepreneurship.

When asked about his stance on failure, this is what Elon had to say:

Failure sucks. If anyone tells you they learn more from failure than success, then they’re wrong. You learn more from success. There are many more ways to fail than there are to succeed. If you've found the one thing that succeeds, that’s great.”

Brilliant? We certainly think so.

Check out a highlight from our tour below, and stay tuned for more on Elon’s experience as an entrepreneur, future FI excursions, and more.
