Effective immediately, the Founder Institute will begin hosting ongoing weekly startup Office Hour sessions, freely available for any black American founder seeking feedback from FI HQ staff on their early-stage business or startup ideas.
The Founder Institute team has taken the past weeks to think deliberately about how we, as an organization, can begin to respond meaningfully, to improve our support for racially underrepresented founders, and do so on a sustainable, long term basis.
We expect to announce further measures of support soon, but immediately the Founder Institute Silicon Valley HQ Management team knows we can provide value for the black American entrepreneurial community in this way - through direct and honest feedback, the type for which Founder Institute global programs are so well known.
Book Office Hours with FI HQ team members today.
We know from experience through the steady progress we have seen in the Female Founder Initiative, that success in pushing increased founder diversity forward can only be earned through ongoing commitment to achieving that goal - and the FI team is commited to increasing racial diversity among the startup community. The Founder Institute stands in solidarity with those who are demanding a fairer, more just future - for black Americans today, and for underrepresented minorities around the world.
