With the recent announcement of the Founder Institute’s Star Fellow program, benefitting the most qualified applicants working on space-related businesses, we welcomed Dr. Bob Richards to our webinar, “How to Launch a Space Startup”, in which he, along with Founder Institute CEO Adeo Ressi, discussed the future of taking innovation to the stars.

For those not familiar with Bob Richards, he is a space founder and futurist, as well as a Co-Founder of the International Space University; Singularity University; SEDS; the Space Generation Foundation; and Moon Express, a space transportation and lunar resources company located at Cape Canaveral, where he currently serves as President and CEO.

Clearly, if anyone knows what it takes to launch a space-based tech company, it’s Bob Richards. He argues that with the accelerated rate of the development of modern technology, now is a better time to build a business that’s focused on the heavens, and the future for space startups is only looking brighter.

"The health of our home planet and the survival of our species will only be secured through the use of space resources and the expansion of Earth's economic sphere to the Moon and beyond. Creating an off-Earth economy and multi-planet civilization will safeguard the long term prospects of humanity." - Bob Richards
