Today we are excited to announce that Spikes, the winner of the 12th Founder Showcase Pitch Competition and Silicon Valley Founder Institute graduate, has secured $1 million in Seed Funding! Leading the round is Jed Katz of Javelin Venture Partners, a San Francisco based VC firm and regular attendee of the Founder Showcase.
In response to the round, the Spikes team posted this on the company blog: “[We] would like to thank our new friends at Javelin and the other angel investors for believing in us and our mission to secure the web. ‘It has been a lot of work to prove our technology and prowess, and get to work securing the web’ said Spikes CEO/CTO Branden Spikes upon receiving news that funding had been completed.”
At the 12th Founder Showcase, Branden Spikes wowed judges and won the competition with a near perfect score. With such an overwhelmingly positive response to Spikes at the Showcase, it’s no wonder Javelin backed the project. Click here to watch Spike’s winning pitch.
Congratulations to Branden and the Spikes team!
