This session brings together an experienced Silicon Valley investor and a scientist-turned-LP to unpack how emerging managers actually pitch and close capital:
- Steve Bennet - Founder & Managing Director, Bodega Partners
Steve is a Silicon Valley angel investor, startup CFO, and educator with 25+ years in the ecosystem. He has served as CFO, investor, or board member for more than 100 technology startups across software, internet, and mobile, and has been active with Sand Hill Angels, Outlook Ventures, Menlo Incubator, and CrossCoin Ventures. He has taught entrepreneurial finance at UC Berkeley and San Jose State since 1995. He brings a seasoned investor's and operator's view of what makes a fundraising pitch land. - Boguslaw Nocek - Scientific Leader & Emerging LP
Boguslaw ("Bo") is a scientific leader with 25 years in biotech and pharma, working at the intersection of protein science, structural biology, and biopharma strategy — translating complex molecular insight into discovery platforms and therapeutic programs. Author of 70+ peer-reviewed publications and an invited speaker at 80+ global forums, he pairs deep scientific expertise with venture evaluation and partnership experience.
