Startup taxes, bookkeeping, accounting and financial management are often the most dreaded, yet most critical components of running a startup. Many early stage startups fail due to their their lack of planning and prioritizing their financials or due to limited knowledge on the subject. On this fifth installment of "Mastering Startup Operations" series, we will discuss how to optimize best practices for managing financials for early stage startups, including the pitfalls to avoid and more. There will also be a long Q&A portion where we will answer audience questions, so join us for this exciting event and come ready with your questions.

About the Speakers:
Adam Spector is a 3x founder, COO, and 40x Seed Angel Investor, having invested in exited companies that include Datalogue, August Smart Lock and more. As the Chief Operations Officer at AbstractOps, Adam and his team “abstracts away” business operations through their operations platform so that Founders and Executives can focus on what matters to them most: product and sales. Join us as Adam shares his expertise to help you with your startup logistics and answers your questions.

Alex Roytenberg is a New York City based CPA and founder of Integrated.CPA. With almost 20 years experience, Alex has worked for Wall Street and Public Accounting firms, such as Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, PwC, and a global hedge fund with over $42 Billion in assets. Alex also has extensive experience working with startups of all stages from preseed / bootstrap to Series D and later.

Betty Kayton has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry, as a financial leader within the executive team at high-growth, venture-funded startups.  Her contribution ranges from strategic planning and fundraising to tactical challengers such as building appropriate infrastructure without stifling growth.  Selected work includes as CFO of Dropbox, Dropcam, Neato Robotics, Vuclip, Dropcam, Viki, and AngelList and senior financial management positions at Fortune 500 companies including Fujitsu and Citicorp.  Betty was certified as a CPA while working for Ernst & Young.  She holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BA from Pomona College.
