Kindara, a New York Founder Institute graduate, focused on women’s health recently raised $5.3 million in a seed funding round. This round was led by Boston Seed Capital, SOS Ventures, Good Works Ventures, PV Ventures, MENA Venture Investments and 62 Mile Ventures.
Since its launch in 2012, Kindara has helped 75,000 women conceive. Kindara offers a fertility tracking mobile app where women can log in signs such as cervical fluid, temperature, menstruation in order to determine fertility. Utilizing this data, Kindara can provide predictions on how particular factors or actions influence a women’s fertility.
Kindara utilizes tracking to help women conceive, avoid pregnancy and to better understand their cycles.
Kindara has also developed a smartphone-enabled fertility thermometer, Wink, which can link to the Kindara app wirelessly. Wink inputs basal temperatures in a more convenient way.
There have been 6,000 preorders thus far, but is still available for preorder. Wink will be shipped starting December 2015!
