Since launching in 2009, Founder Institute CEO and Co-Founder Adeo Ressi has helped aspiring entrepreneurs all around the world create enduring companies. Having been with FI since its inception, it’s fair to say to that Adeo knows his stuff when it comes to the what it takes to launch a successful startup.
And the most important element of a strong company?
A strong founder.
Part of what makes the Founder Institute so different from other programs is our admissions process, which focuses on determining if an applicant has what we call “Entrepreneur DNA” - the raw, latent traits that comprise the ideal startup founder, traits like high fluid intelligence, openness, and others.
While there are certainly other elements that factor into an entrepreneur’s success, having certain personality types can increase one’s chances of progress in the startup world. According to Adeo,
Being tall gives you an advantage when playing basketball. But it does not mean that you’re going to be a good basketball player. So we’ve essentially identified a series of traits that predict if you have the equivalent of being tall in entrepreneurship. And it turns out that those traits are genetic.
Deciding by Data recently interviewed Adeo Ressi, in which he talked about the topic of “Entrepreneur DNA”, as well as how the Founder Institute supports the entrepreneurs who join its program.
