AllCanCode’s game “Run Marco!” is one of the products Code.org is recommending for the Hour of Code. The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. It is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics.

AllCanCode, an Athens Founder Institute Graduate, is a startup whose mission is to deliver the simplest, most engaging and creative way to teach kids how to code. They have developed an adventure game - Run Marco! - that kids play and learn to code. Kids guide the main character of the game, Marco, through each level by putting together instructions using a visual programming language. The adventure game is translated in 26 languages and features a rich storyline.

The game is designed for 6 to 12 year old kids by a team of experts in computer programming, game design and teaching technology in schools. Its main features are:

  • Original story by children’s literature writer
  • Stunning graphics with original music score
  • Rewarding learning path to mastering computer programming designed by experts
  • Easy and fun to play

Run Marco! is currently available on browsers (directly and through Chrome Web Store), Google Play for Android tablets, Amazon Store for Android and Kindle tablets and Apple App Store for iPad.

You can check out the game RunMarco! here.
