The Federation of Young Chambers of Commerce in the Province of Quebec (RJCCQ), an organization that shares Founder Institute's mission of helping new entrepreneurs be successful, appointed Sergio Escobar from Founder Institute as Vice-President "Startup Communities" across the Province of Quebec. RJCCQ appoints strong professionals from different industries with an Executive Board position to collaborate on a voluntary basis.

The Federation of Young Chambers of Commerce of Quebec Province (RJCCQ), founded in 1992, supports a network of young chambers of commerce and youth wings across the Province of Quebec, representing more than 7,000 young entrepreneurs, business people, professionals and older managers between 18 and 40 years. In addition to a large geographic area, the RJCCQ counts among its ranks several organizations from cultural communities in the Greater Montreal area, which makes it unique.

My main challenge will be to foster the development of a Startup Culture across the Province of Quebec. My main mandate is to develop a structured framework to foster a tech entrepreneurial ecosystem that connects both regions to Montreal and the areas between them."                                                                                                                                                      Sergio A. Last October, Startup Canada awarded to Mr. Escobar with the "STARTUP CANADA AWARD FOR ENTREPRENEUR PROMOTION" in Quebec. Award given to individual mentors, investors, and startup community leaders who demonstrate excellence in advancing Canadian entrepreneurship through their leadership, innovation and impact.

We need to take all necessary means to prompt a Startup Culture across the Province of Quebec.

We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Mr. Escobar, a well-known and respected leader who has contributed greatly to promote tech entrepreneurship across Quebec through initiatives like Angel Investors Challenge, Startup Weekend, Startup Next and Founder Institute.  His presence at the Board will help us reach our goals.                                                                                                                                           - Monsef Derraji, CEO at RJCCQ                                                                                                                   @RJCCQ
