At the Founder Institute, one of our core values is to not shy away from big challenges.
Every day we help and push founders to accomplish their own seemingly insurmountable challenge - to build an enduring technology company. So, it is only natural that we also push towards our own big challenges, and constantly work to preserve the startup mindset in our organization. After all, we were born in a Palo Alto garage (as jaded as that may seem!).
Our challenge, and our mission, is to “Globalize Silicon Valley” and empower talented and motivated people to build impactful companies that create one million jobs.
While seemingly insurmountable (borderline "crazy"?), we achieved a lot of milestones towards this mission in 2015, which you can see in a nifty "year in review" infographic we created below.
P.S. I'd also like to give some thanks, because the work we do could easily support a staff in the hundreds - but we operate with a FT team of only 20 in our Silicon Valley office. Special thanks to our amazing team members, kick-ass Local Directors, our supportive Mentors, our promising Graduates, and our critical Partners!
P.P.S. Our work will never be done, so if you are interested in getting involved in any way, feel free to email me directly at j (at) fi (dot) co.
