A number of applicants have complained about being unable to meet the LinkedIn requirements, while other applicants have delayed applying to build their LinkedIn network.

Applying to the Institute should be challenging, but not be impossible. As a result, the Institute has agreed to scale back the LinkedIn requiremens as follows:

  • Applicants only need just one recommendation on LinkedIn, versus the three recommendations that were needed previously.
  • Applicants only need 35 connections, versus the 45 connections that were needed previously.

If you have already achieved the more extensive requirements, this will ultimately help you as a Founder, since LinkedIn is commonly used to validate professional contacts.

Thank you for the feedback on the process. Keep it coming.
