Puzzazz, a puzzle technology company and Graduate of the Seattle Founder Institute, today is announcing a $400,000 angel investment by some pretty impressive Seattle industry veterans. The round was led by Charles Fitzgerald, the former Microsoft platform strategy chief and current VMWare platform strategist, and filled out by Richard Garfield (“Magic: The Gathering”), Edward Jung (technology chief of Intellectual Ventures), Shel Kaphan (first employee of Amazon.com), and Mike Koss (Director of StartPad).
Last year Puzzazz released it's first products on the Kindle - the first puzzle eBooks that lets users solve puzzles directly on the pages of the book. Its top-selling title, Sudoku Unbound Volume 1, reached #1 among all paid Kindle titles and is consistently outselling all other Sudoku titles on the Kindle. Puzzazz's Founder, Roy Leban, plans to use this investment to release more Sudoku eBooks, in addition to new Word Search, Crosswords, and other titles for both the Kindle and other platforms.
