The South Africa Founder Institute, the local chapter of the world's largest pre-seed startup accelerator, is proud to announce the newest Alumni from the South Africa Winter 2023 program.
After meticulous selection process and intense four months of aggressive business-building sprints, constant evaluation, and feedback from investors and mentors, just 11 companies were able to make it through.
Each of these Founders have demonstrated a high level of perseverance and creativity, and their businesses have been thoroughly vetted and supported by a panel of South Africa 's top startup experts and investors.
And now, without further ado, we present the Alumni of the South Africa program:
- KES Smart Cloud - a company that provides infrastructure as a service to telco's and advertisers through a smart pole that it leases to its customers.
- Kasi Gas - a startup that converts organic waste into valuable resources such as biogas, to meet the energy needs of rural communities and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
- Revisall - an EdTech project enhancing knowledge retention and quality education.
- Construction Pro AI - an AI solution that utomates schedule updates through voice-texts to images on site, predicting completion dates.
- The Workrate - an employee compensation management platform that helps enterprises in Africa simplify salary benchmarking.
- Plan A - a company that provides an interactive marketplace for both vendors and clients across the events industry.
- Nomad Life Elements - a startup creating a fan and celebrity experience by modernizing the engagement and make it more consistent, more interactive and more global.
- Tagora Technologies - a tech startup building software solutions for the energy distribution space.
- Izitho ze Afrika Hosiery - a company that creates shaping hosieries, to fit African women’s body types
- Eazy Way Rides - an end-to-end solution that seamlessly connects drivers and businesses, optimizing operations and profitability. With comprehensive driver training and vehicle rentals, they create employment opportunities, fostering success for all stakeholders.

After Graduation, the new South Africa Founder Institute Portfolio Companies now have a fast-growing company that has been fully validated by experienced startup founders, with access to the Founder Institute's global network and post-graduate support programs to continue building their business.
Leaders of the world’s fastest-growing startups have used the Founder Institute to raise funding, building a co-founding team, get into seed-accelerators, generate traction, recruit a team, build a product, transition from employee to entrepreneur, and more. Based in Silicon Valley and with chapters across 200+ cities and 100+ countries, the Founder Institute’s mission is to Globalize Silicon Valley and empower talented and motivated entrepreneurs to build companies that will create one million new jobs.
