Today we are excited to announce the launch of our newest location - Rijeka, Croatia!
After launching our first Croatian chapter in Zagreb less than 6 months ago, we are excited to keep the momentum going and extend our presence to Rijeka. Our Zagreb graduates are some of the most innovative companies to come out of Europe, and we are looking forward to seeing what our neighbors in Rijeka have to offer.
The Rijeka chapter is just around the corner, as the 4-month program is slated to start on Thursday, May 9th. Through the Founder Institute's part-time, four month program, existing and prospective founders can launch their dream company with expert training, feedback, and support from experienced startup CEOs - while not being required to quit their day job. The program is open to existing and prospective technology founders of all kinds - with or without an idea, young or old, and with a full-time job or unemployed.
If you or someone you know could benefit from expert training and feedback to launch a technology startup in Rijeka, click here to apply. If you apply by the Early Application Deadline on Sunday, April 14th, you get to take the Predictive Admissions Test for free (typically $25), and have the opportunity to receive one of several Founder Institute Fellowships.
If you would like to learn more, then join a free event we will be hosting in the coming weeks:
The city of Rijeka, together with the region Istria, is a prime location for the Founder Institute. Situated a short drive from Italy, Slovenia and Austria, as well as a short flight from Europe, Rijeka is a rich cosmopolitan hub for language, culture, and ideas. The city also boasts high European education and working standards as well as low cost of living. This combined with Rijeka’s prime geographic location, makes for an ideal environment for starting up.
The Rijeka chapter will be lead by Nikša Tomulić and Marjeta Tomulić Vehovec. Nikša is the Founder and CEO of kompare.hr and an angel investor, member of CRANE. Marjeta mentors and participates in the organization of the Startup Weekend in Croatia, has a doctorate in EU law and currently teaches International and EU tax law.
Expected mentors of the program include;
- Adeo Ressi, CEO, TheFunded.com
- Andraz Tori, Founder and CTO, Zemanta, Inc.
- Erik Sundelof, Co-Founder, Allvoices.com
- Hrvoje Prpic, Investor and Advisor, CRANE
