The Founder Institute, the world’s largest entrepreneur training and startup launch program, announced today that it is officially launching in Curitiba. After launching in Sao Paulo earlier this year, Curitiba becomes the second chapter of the Founder Institute in Brazil.
The Silicon-Valley based program decided to officially launch in Curitiba after an exploratory trial in the city uncovered a large number of aspiring entrepreneurs looking for training and expert mentorship.
Applications to the first ever Curitiba Founder Institute are open now, and anyone interested in launching a technology company is welcome to apply at http://fi.co/apply/curitiba.
In order to celebrate the launch, the Curitiba Founder Institute will host a series of free startup events for the general public over the next few months - including an Information Session to learn more about the program on April 30th. Through the Founder Institute’s four-month program, promising entrepreneurs “learn by doing” and launch a company with structured training, expert feedback, and support from experienced startup CEOs. Since the program is part-time, it is also a great opportunity for full-time professionals to test and build their ideas before making “the leap” from employee to entrepreneur and quitting their jobs. Based in Silicon Valley and with chapters across 100 countries, the Founder Institute has helped launch over 7,500 companies; include fast-rising startups across 6 continents like Udemy, Realty Mogul, iCarsClub, Itembase, goplaceit, Appota, and many more.
Curitiba has an incredible talent pool of highly educated and technical workers. However, many of these workers looking to launch their own company need guidance on the first steps, as well as mentorship from experts who have launched their own businesses before. The Founder Insititute will provide the framework to make that happen, and help to launch impactful companies in the city." - Adeo Ressi, Founder & CEO of the Founder Institute
Leading the Founder Institute's efforts in Curitiba are three leaders of the local startup ecosystem; Nima Kazerooni (serial entrepreneur and Founder of multiple startups, social enterprises and NGOs), Stephan Garcia (Founder of Coders Education & Open Brazil), and Rodrigo Alvarenga (Serial Entrpreneur, Angel Investor, and startup mentor).
My passion is in learning with people and achieving new levels of success through collaboration. The Founder Institute matches this perfectly, and with the introduction of Founder Institute’s early stage incubation program to Curitiba, we will seed the acceleration of a new generation of global entrepreneurs with startups that promise to change the world.”
