The Austin Founder Institute, the local chapter of the world's largest pre-seed startup accelerator, is proud to announce the newest Alumni from the Austin Virtual Fall 2020 program.

Over 150 people applied to the program, and after an intense four months of aggressive business-building sprints and constant evaluation and feedback from investors and mentors, just eight companies were able to make it through.

Each of these Founders have demonstrated a high level of perseverance and creativity, and their businesses have been thoroughly vetted and supported by a panel of Austin's top startup experts and investors.

And now, without further ado, we present the Alumni of the Austin program:

  • AdderLock - increasing accessibility to developing fit bodies and healthy minds by challenging and improving archaic fitness and wellness practices through innovation: the redesigned barbell collar helps lifters change weight plates faster and incrementally boost their training weight.

  • Cheers To, Inc - inspiring people to celebrate more by providing the resources needed make it easy - with a single UX for planning events start to finish, and personalization to deliver an enhanced experience. Meet EME: Events Made Easy by Your Personal Party Planner.

  • Focal Point - an enterprise procurement B2B SaaS solution helping companies do procurement more effectively and efficiently. Focal Point automates processes that are currently done in PowerPoint and Excel, a huge waste of time for procurement and a frustration for internal clients.

  • InvestED - introducing new investors to the stock and crypto markets to help them create wealth, targeting users who have never invested before, aged 18 to 40 - making learning fun, simple, and easy through short videos and interactive games.

  • Let’s Wait, Inc - a freemium dating app targeting singles who have decided to wait for sex and find relationships built on emotional connections. Unlike competitors, the app allows members to be upfront about their expectations, by sharing how long and why they’re waiting, and easily match with like-minded singles.

  • Step Outside, Inc - offering outdoor workshops that use behavior change research and neuroscience to develop emotional intelligence, and practice those skills through experiential activities to help teams increase productivity and engagement.

  • Voythos - a physician companion that completely automates the medical recording process, giving physicians their lives back by leveraging technology to deliver digital tools that free them from immense administrative burden and get them back to their patients.

The Austin Founder Institute invites members of the public to join on Tuesday, February 2nd 2021 for the Fall Virtual 2020 cohort Graduation online event, featuring special guest Zaz Floreani, Principal at Next Coast Ventures.
