Whale Path recently raised $1.1 million in seed funding, news of which was covered by Cromwell Schubarth in a Business Insider article titled “Whale Path raises $1.1M seed round for research on demand".

Whale Path and its Founders Artem Gassan and Colin Gu are Graduates of the Bay Area Founder Institute.

An on-demand research platform where professionals can order business research from a group of qualified and vetted college students, Whale Path claims it can deliver customized reports three times faster and at half the price of traditional research vendors.

Those who invested in Whale Path include TMT Investments, Kima Ventures, 500 Startups, Altair Capital, FundersClub, Wefunder, and Ben Narasin of TriplePoint Ventures. According to CEO Artem Gassan, roughly 60 percent of the seed money will go towards marketing and the rest on product development.
