Los Angeles Founder Institute Graduate ShareSquare was recently featured in TechCrunch for their first closing of $150,000 on a $500,000 seed round. Participating angels include Paige Craig the Adrenaline-fueled Angel, John Frankel of ff Asset Management, Jeff Miller, and Roy Rodenstein of HackerAngels.

ShareSquare is a platform for crowd-sourced street teams to support the bands and brands they love, with real-time analytics and performance-based rewards. Using the self-serve CMS, artists and promoters can enhance physical collateral (promos, posters, flyers, stickers, merchandise, etc) with a QR code corresponding to a custom HTML5 mobile web app.  By scanning the QR code, the fan can immediately experience a music video, download tracks and apps, win prizes, join mailing lists, one-click Like and Tweet, and (coming soon) make purchases. A recent campaign for Disney artist Mitchel Musso saw our QR code appear on 2,500 posters, 10,000 packaging stickers, and Akoo network digital signage in 181 shopping malls nationwide.
